Invited Talk : Deploying Web Mining: The Past, Present and Future
Abstract
Web Mining has been an active area of research for the past few years though
deployment of results of the research tend to lag behind research success
stories. In this talk I provide a perspective of how web mining is currently
being deployed in industry but also current tasks that hinder the
application of web mining to real-world application. The talk will mainly
focus on the use of web mining results for personlisation but will also
cover some experiments with metric and business intelligence generation.
